Anger in Review

Ripping Loose or Calming Down? A Guide to Anger Management Ebook By Gary Evans
eBook (PDF): $9.95

With this report at hand, there's no need to vent out anger in a non-constructive way. From here on, you'd be able to make the most out of this rather negative feeling. It can even make you a better... More >

When we review the source of our anger, it often helps us to see the answers we missed when our emotions had control. Emotions are our makeup and they control our anger, sadness, joy and all other aspects of our thinking if we let it. If you are having difficulty managing your emotions, you most likely suffer anxiety, depression and become uncontrollable when your anger bursts. The best solution then is writing down your emotions and thoughts on paper and search for the triggers that interrupted your emotions. For example, I was involved in an incident that caused my mind's image to break off into fragments. I am unable to review the entire episode that created the chaos in my head. The incident caused my nerves to shatter, which led to anxiety attacks and periodical depression episodes. I cannot cope with everyday life and I often try to avoid people to minimize the conflict in my life. I have flashbacks on occasions that upset my nerves and emotions and when someone triggers me, I want to strike out and hurt them as they have hurt me. We are dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder in this experience; therefore, we need a coping strategy that works best for us. We see that the anger is going to get the best of the individual if he or she does not find a way to control the emotions that causes an uproar leading to anger outbursts. First, this person cannot stand to be around loud noises so staying away from crowds is best for now. Finding a safe haven in your home and a quite environment often works best to prevent anger and stress outbreaks. You might want to take Ginkoba for alertness to help enhance your mind. You might even want to visit a mental health expert and ask for a prescription that helps deal with post-traumatic stress disorders. Trazadone is great for relieving nightmares and night sweats, which are symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder. Vitamin C and Vitamin B-Complex are also great to enhance the mind and help a person cope with stress. If you have difficulty focusing, which is another symptom included in the diagnose then you might want to focus on smaller tasks and move ahead to bigger tasks when you are ready. Learn to relax. Taking deep breaths before your emotions erupt is often good for dealing with anger. Yoga and exercise are great for helping the body and mind to relax. If you struggle with emotions its best to find out what works best for you and practice each day relaxing approaches to healing. It is important to pamper your self and avoid stress and stressors as much as possible. Remember you are at a greater risk of anger explosion more so than the common people in society are. The diagnose formally known as 'war shock' will take you boldly where no one will ever go. It is important to learn the symptoms and find a way to deal with it accordingly. Learning is growing and when your mind grows, it is developing a great survival strategy. Remember when you are overly stressed your body is affected gravely. Your diagnose puts you at a deeper risk, since anxiety and stress levels of post-traumatic stress disorder opens the door to heart attacks and strokes. Eventually you will need to face the trauma that put you in this state of mind. Therefore, I highly recommend that you write everyday. Role-playing is also great for these diagnoses and will reduce anger and emotions. Sit down in a comfortable area and pretend someone in the chair across from you loves you. The person has your best interest at heart. Now begin telling your imaginary friend the problems you are dealing with and what you are feeling inside. If you are feeling angry, tell the person how you feel and why you are feeling this way if possible. If you need to punch something soft, so you will not get hurt. Finally, vent all your energy and anger by vocalizing to your imaginary friend and when you finish review your scene carefully. Put the anger in review and take charge of your position when you see that your anger is not out of your reach.

Mind technique #5.

Ahhh, we're up to Mind technique #5...

This is one of my all-time FAVORITE techniques!!

Today you will learn about "Creative
Visualization", and how this relaxing activity
will empower you to attract greater Wealth, Love,
and More into your life.

Actually, the term "Visualization" is a misnomer.
With this technique, you will be using MORE than
just your visual faculties.

When you do Creative Visualization - besides
seeing what you desire, you will also hear it,
smell it, taste it, and feel it.

That's the 'proper' way to do Creative
Visualization.

As you already know...

--------------------------------------------
WHATEVER YOU THINK ABOUT MOST
OFTEN...EXPANDS IN YOUR LIFE.
--------------------------------------------

So for example if you are constantly worried
about not having enough money, you will get more life
experiences of not having enough money.

** (Focusing on opportunities to make money will
get you a thousand times further than worrying
about the lack of it...)

But Creative Visualization is much more than just
'Positive Thinking'.

It's about putting your mind and body in the ideal
place first, and then flooding your subconscious
with a colorful experience of life as you want it.

The more relaxed you are, the more open your
subconscious is to receive the messages you want
to send it...

And the more senses that you involve in your
Creative Visualization, the more of an impact it
will have!

--------------------------------------------
'SUPER-CHARGE' YOUR EMOTIONS:
--------------------------------------------

Let's say that you wanted to buy a new car.  The
meaning of a "new car" is too vague a term.  What
kind of new car do you want?    You need to be
absolutely specific.

So you don't want a new car....

You want a brand new, black BMW 535i sedan
with dark gray interior and a 360 horsepower
engine.

And once you have that decided, you're going to
"Creative Visualize" it.

=> You are going to SEE yourself walking up to it.

=> Your are going to FEEL how smooth and perfect
the outer body feels.

=> You are going to get inside of the car, and
SMELL the leather.  You get the point.

Here's another important characteristic of the
subconscious mind: it can't tell the difference
between your outer world and your imagination.

...Meaning that if you visualize an event in great
detail and with a lot of EMOTION, your
subconscious mind will BELIEVE that it's really
happening.

And the more times you practice Creative
Visualization properly, the more "real" it will
seem to your subconscious.

This is KEY because once it believes your
visualization to be a fact, it will feel tension
when your current outer reality doesn't match up.

It will then go to your assistance by sending you
ideas, opportunities and motivation to transform
your outer world...

Now that you understand 'how' and 'why' Creative
Visualization works so well..

I have made a very special post on my blog for you
that gives you a:

You can find it Here.

Then come back to this email to  pick up:
---------------------------
Your 4th Mind Technique!
---------------------------

Today I'll show you the huge benefits  of using
'Repetitive Writing'.

Aaaargh! Now stay with me here...

The Repetitive Writing mind technique  is not as
'exciting' as some of the other  techniques, but
its benefits far outweigh the 10 minutes that it
will take you to  complete this task!

Writing out your desires over and over  again will
further influence your  subconscious mind -- which
if you haven't  guessed by now is the KEY to
achieving all  your desires and dreams. Yes, all
of them!

This mind technique takes different aspects  from:

1) Affirmation Imprinting (creating  powerful,
effective statements of your  desired outcomes..

2) Subliminal Messaging (flooding your
subconscious mind every day with your  desired
outcomes) and..

3) Ideal Day Generation (unleashing the  magic of
writing down your thoughts and  feelings)....

Like I said earlier, the actual 'process'  of
writing down your statements will  become boring
very quickly.

I urge you to do it anyway.

Is brushing your teeth fun?  Hardly,  but you do
it anyway because you want  your teeth to be and
feel healthy (and  to avoid the drill next time
you visit  the dentist!)

--------------------------------------------
It seems that mean old 3rd grade teacher ALMOST
got it right....
--------------------------------------------

She, like most people using affirmations,
structured the statements incorrectly.   She
focused on the negative.

Like when she told you to write the  sentence "I
will not talk in class" fifty  times on the
blackboard.

As you already know, the subconscious sees  in
images and can't visualize the word "not."

In the example I just gave you, all it  recognizes
and "sees" are images of "I",  "talk", and "in
class."

The well-meaning teacher thereby "reinforces  the
exact opposite behavior than she had  intended".

And guess what happened the next day?

You got in trouble for talking in class  again!
And how did the teacher discipline  you?

You guessed it.  She had you writing those
sentences again, unknowingly reinforcing  your
negative behavior!

As you know, to re-program your mind  effectively
with 'positive' behaviors,  I wholeheartedly
recommend the success  accelerator videos.

Imagine having thousands of positive  life
altering affirmations flooding your  subconscious
mind every day?

It's very powerful.

So let's now put this information into  practical
application.

--------------------------------------------
YOUR ACTION PLAN FOR 'REPETITIVE
WRITING':
--------------------------------------------

STEP 1:  Just Three...

Pick a maximum of three behaviors you  would like
to change.

Ideally, you would want to work on just  one
first, until you started to see your  intended
desires materialize, before  moving onto other
goals.

And if you really want to accelerate the  process,
pick the same goal as the one  you are working on
with your Affirmation  Imprinting.

STEP 2:  Meet the 3 "P's"

Make sure that your sentence is formatted
properly.

This is the exact same step you used when  you
created your affirmations.

To recap, your sentence should be personal,
positive, and present tense.

STEP 3:  A private book

Buy a spiral notebook.  You will be using  this to
write your sentences in.  Having  a central place
is much more effective  than writing on whatever
scrap of paper  you happen to find.

Sometimes you won't remember if you wrote  your
sentences out that morning or not.   Having one
place to look to find out will  solve this.

STEP 4:  Make your statement 'real'

Write the date at the top of the page  and write
your sentence over and over  again on each line
until it fills up  the entire page.

An average spiral notebook is between  25-30 lines
per page side.

From personal experience I find this to  be the
perfect amount of times to write  your sentence.

You will do this exercise first thing  each
morning, and then again just before  going to
sleep at night.

Once your subconscious mind fully absorbs  the
statement you are trying to send it  and provides
you with the tools to make  it a reality -- only
then would you  start with your next desired
change!

** Remember**: Repetition influences your
subconscious  mind - and influencing your
subconscious  belief system (with your desired
outcome)  is the golden *key* to reaching your
goals  and dreams.

This is why subliminal messaging can  have such a
powerful - and unexpected  impact on people's
lives.

In the next lesson, we will learn about  one of my
all-time favorite Mind  techniques:  "Creative
Visualization...."

Take care,

Smoking Helps Smokers Regain Self-Control

Smoking Helps Smokers Regain Self-Control

Smoking Helps Smokers Regain Self-Control
Self-control is getting alot of attention these days, as managing emotions, behaviors and desires is integral to improving health behaviors and controlling stress.
But self-control is a resource that can be exhausted. And paradoxically, researchers are learning that for smokers, smoking can be a means by which they regain their sense of self-control.
In a new study, researchers at the Moffitt Cancer Center exposed a test group and a control group — totaling 132 nicotine-dependent smokers — to an emotional video depicting environmental damage.
One group in the study expressed their natural emotional reactions (no depletion of self-control) while the second group suppressed their responses (self-control depletion).
Half of the participants in each group were subsequently allowed to smoke a cigarette. Everyone then was asked to complete a frustrating task that required self-control.
"Our goal was to study whether tobacco smoking affects an individual's self-control resources," said lead author Bryan W. Heckman, M.A.
"We hypothesized that participants who underwent a self-control depletion task would demonstrate less persistence on behavioral tasks requiring self-control as compared to those with self-control intact, when neither group was allowed to smoke.
"However, we also hypothesized that we would not find this performance decrement among participants who were permitted to smoke."
Study results supported the benefits of smoking to restore self-control.
"We found that smoking did have a restorative effect on an individual's depleted self-control resources," said Heckman. "Moreover, smoking restored self-control, in part, by improving smokers' positive mood."
Investigators believe self-control is a limited resource that acts like a muscle — expending self-control on a task has the short-term effect of depleting the resource, making it more difficult to engage in another task that requires self-control.
While nicotine has been found to enhance performance on a variety of cognitive activities, such as motor abilities, attention and memory, this study was the first to evaluate the effects of smoking on self-control.
Study results suggest the desire to restore depleted self-control may contribute to a smoker's addiction to tobacco.
"Smoking is obviously a maladaptive way to restore self-control," said study co-author Thomas H. Brandon, Ph.D. "Finding other ways to relax or enhance one's mood would be much healthier alternatives. In fact, even raising glucose level — perhaps by consuming a sugary drink — has been shown to restore self-control."
Researchers believe learning alternative methods to restore self-control are essential for smokers wanting to quit or reduce their tobacco dependency.
The authors concluded that smoking cessation treatments would benefit by further research aimed at identifying how smoking restores self-control, as well as identifying additional alternative strategies for strengthening or restoring self-control.
The study is in the Journal of Abnormal Psychology.

Mind Technique #3

Ok! In Lesson 2 you learned about Subliminal
Messaging, which is unique in that it involves
very little effort on your part and creates the
mindset you desire quickly.

You can learn more about it here:
www.Subliminal-videos com

Mind Technique #3 is very exciting!
It's called: 'Your Ideal Day Generation'

This mind technique can be THE most important
thing you can do to achieving your dreams.

It doesn't need to be performed as often as
the others, but its impact is inspiring,
powerful, and long lasting.

A certain magic occurs when you place pen
to paper (or fingers to keyboard) and
document what you are feeling or thinking
inside.

In a sense, your written thoughts and
feelings become more "alive".

---------------------------
WHAT DOES  **YOUR**
IDEAL DAY LOOK LIKE?
---------------------------

If I asked you to describe to me your ideal
day right now, could you easily give me the
details??

Chances are that you couldn't.

And this is a HUGE problem because if we
can't see our goals, wants and desires
*clearly* our subconscious mind can't help
us achieve them.

Saying that I want to have lots of money
someday doesn't give the subconscious a
definitive target to aim for.

How much is lots of money?  $500?
$50,000?  $5,000,000?  And when will
"someday" be?

In a month?  A year?  Ten years?  Next
Tuesday?

---------------------------
PUT THE ODDS IN YOUR FAVOR...
---------------------------

To raise the odds of having the life
you always wanted, you must first write
down exactly how you would like that life
to be.

Makes sense, right?

It's going to serve as your guiding light.
Whenever faced with a decision, you will
now be able to think:

"Will choosing this bring me closer or
further away from My Ideal Day?"

This should quicken the time it takes to
make decisions...

...and will GREATLY improve the choices that
you make!

Not only that - but it will be your
"snapshot" into the future.

When you are struggling and feeling
defeated, you can always go back to
your Ideal Day and get motivation from it.

---------------------------
MAKE IT FUN!
---------------------------

The Ideal Day Generation mind technique
will really get your imagination going.

It should be exciting and FUN.

Kind of like writing to Santa. :-)

You get to write down ANYTHING at all that
you would like in your ideal day.

---------------------------
DON'T LIMIT YOUR IDEAS!
---------------------------

Never limit your ideas - especially when
it comes to wealth.  Is it possible for
you to have 200 million dollars in the bank?
Yes, it is possible and that's all your
subconscious needs to know.

And don't worry about how you will make the
events in your Ideal Day come true.  That's
exactly what your subconscious mind will be
working on.

You worry about the 'WHAT' and your
subconscious (along with the powerful
universal laws of attraction!) will worry
about the 'HOW'.

---------------------------
THIS IS CRUCIAL!!
---------------------------

** The above sentence is absolutely critical.
Please read it again, because I cannot
underscore the importance of this enough. **

Perfect Ideal Day involves 5 important steps ...

Very Powerful *Mind Technique*: Lesson 2

Now that you have a handle on Affirmation Imprinting,
let's move on to a similar mind technique that will help
you finally get the results you always wanted in life.

Mind Technique #2 is logically, Subliminal Messaging...

Subliminal messages are like affirmations in that they're
also statements of the behaviors you would like to have...

They can be formatted a very similar way: personal,
positive and in the present tense.

BUT ...Here is the critical difference with subliminal
messages:

You are going to "bypass" your conscious mind and send
those statements directly to your subconscious.

Your conscious mind won't even notice them.

You can see some 'proof' that these techniques not only
work, but can work extremely fast.

Find it here:

Why would we want to bypass the conscious mind?

Unlike the subconscious mind that accepts everything,
good or bad, that you say to it as fact, the conscious
mind uses reasoning, intellect, experience and emotion
to determine whether or not something is true or false.

If the conscious mind (I refer to it as the "critical
mind") sees a statement as being false, it will reject
it and not allow it to reach the subconscious where it
could have made an impact.

FOR EXAMPLE;

Let's say you've always been dirt poor, but you truly
want to accumulate wealth and enjoy a better lifestyle.
So you start using the Affirmation Imprinting technique
that you learned in Lesson 2.

Your affirmation is "I easily make ten thousand dollars
each month."

You say this affirmation for weeks, maybe even months
with little results.

What happened?

My guess is the affirmation so far away from what the
current reality is, that your conscious mind is rejecting
that statement as being totally inaccurate.

It's saying to itself, "Make ten thousand dollars each
month??  I barely made ten thousand last year.  This
statement is absurd."

The statement is then dismissed and thrown out.

This is why we need to "bypass" the conscious mind and
send those statements directly to your subconscious.

Go here to see the success others are having with this
method:

You're probably wondering why we would even bother with
Affirmation Imprinting when we could just use Subliminal
Messaging.

The reason for using both is because together they can
multiply the effects.

So, let's say:

You saw a 20 percent improvement using just Affirmation
Imprinting and saw a 40 percent improvement using just
Subliminal Messaging, you would get greater than 60%
improvement using them in combination.

Also, the amount of natural resistance created by the
conscious mind is not only unique for each individual,
but it is also varies within the different areas of
your life.

So you may have a strong resistance to the affirmation
"I weigh 135lbs" ...

But have virtually NO resistance at all to the statement
"I easily earn ten thousand dollars each month."  So
basically, combining both techniques instantly enhances
your results.

-------------------------------------------------
SO HOW DO WE "BYPASS"
THE CONSCIOUS MIND?
-------------------------------------------------

To do this we are going to need a little assistance
from technology.  There are two main types of subliminal
messages: auditory and visual.

* Auditory (or audio) messages try to sneak by the
critical mind by being played at frequencies that we
can't consciously hear.  My results have been mixed and
therefore, I tend to no longer use subliminal auditory
messages "on their own".

* Visual subliminal messages are just what they sound
like.  These messages are going to be flashed in front
of your eyes for a split second.  It's long enough for
your subconscious to register the message, but too quick
for you to consciously read it.

Powerful positive subliminal 'affirmations' now flood
your subconscious mind -- Without your critical mind
being able to filter them out!

There are many audio CDs and visual software programs
available to help you accomplish this, however...

The most effective way to use subliminal messaging
"combines" both Visual and Auditory commands.

TOGETHER, THIS IS A POWERFUL
COMBINATION!

The Success Accelerator video series is the only
subliminal program I have seen that uses BOTH visual
and auditory messages to bypass your conscious mind.

It has been professionally produced to the highest
standards and has received fabulous customer feedback.
It's the only subliminal messaging program that I'm
prepared to put my name to.

You can find out more about it here.

Having received such phenomenal results with this
program myself, I can personally recommend the
effectiveness of these videos.

All you do is press 'play' and without you even
thinking about it or putting in any effort on your
part, your subconscious mind is getting bombarded with
powerful messages that will create the changes you want
in life.

It doesn't get easier than that.

-------------------------------------------------
Your "Action Plan" for Subliminal Messaging:
-------------------------------------------------

STEP 1) Purchase a visual subliminal message program.
I personally use and recommend the Success Accelerator
Video Series if you want a powerful program.

Check it out here:

STEP 2) Be sure to watch one of your subliminal videos
each time you use your computer (the best time is in
the morning, and again just before heading to bed).

Because these messages are "bypassing" your conscious
mind, powerful, positive changes will happen for you
automatically.

In the next lesson, we'll talk about Ideal Day
Generation, and why it may be the most important
thing you can do to achieving your dreams.

Until then, take care and have a great week :)

How to Discover - and Achieve -- Your Life Purpose

"How to Discover - and Achieve -- Your Life Purpose"
-- by Jeff Staniforth
Does it seem like your life consists of just "going with the tide" - and that you have no particular destination? Do you sometimes look at your life and ask, "Is this all there is?"
Does the pursuit of material things sometimes seem meaningless to you? Do you often feel as though life is passing you by?
Is your time consumed by things that need to be done, rather than things that are important to you? Do people put demands and responsibilities on you that are opposed to what you want for your life?
Have you been trying to live up to everyone else's expectations while your own plans and dreams go unfulfilled?
If you answered "Yes" to any or all of the above questions, you're not alone. It's so easy for any of us to get "caught up" in life that we forget how to truly live. There's more wisdom than meets the eye in John Lennon's famous saying: "Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans.
Frankly, life is too short for us to waste most of it on the acquisition of material things, in trying to impress people we care little about, and on things that will have little or no value to us when we look back on our lives during our golden years.
In keeping with the theme of this newsletter, I'm here to show you how to discover - and accomplish - your life's purpose through the use of affirmations. Your life's purpose may be defined as your personal mission, or your spiritual path, or the cause for which you live, or how you plan to make a difference, or what you want to leave behind after you're gone - or anything that's truly important to you.
Here are affirmations that will help you not only discover your life purpose, but also help get you deeply connected to your spiritual self:
* Each day my life is filled with wonders and magic.
* I feel my divine connection to everyone and everything.
* The light of God is guiding me in everything I do.
* Every step I take leads me toward my Life Purpose.
* I now surrender to the will of God
* Divine guidance is with me always
* I now let miracles happen
* Divine wisdom unfolds within me now.
* I am now filled with the light and love of God.
* Everything I seek is seeking me now.
* I now call on the light of God to guide me.
* I am totally one with God.
* I choose to experience things that will reveal my true Life Purpose.
* I am now acting upon my Life Purpose with joy and passion.
* I now accept that my Life Purpose is to love myself others.
* I am now free to do the things I love.
* I choose to do the things I love.
* I am fulfilled as a person.
* I am now clear on my goals and I have the strength to follow through on them.
* I am in a constant state of fulfillment.
* I am certain that my path is always perfect for me.
Choose the affirmations that feel appropriate to you. Feel free to create an affirmation that's suitable to you by asking yourself these questions:
What do you want? And how will you know when you get it?
Those questions will put you on the right track to crafting life purpose affirmations that strike an emotional chord in you, or at least enable you to substitute words in any of the above affirmations with words that have special meaning to you.
TIP: Did you know... that if you use subliminal technology with your affirmations, you could multiply the power of your affirmations exponentially? The good news is that it's not as complicated as it sounds -- if you can turn on your computer, you can use the Subliminal Message module of the critically acclaimed Sculptor 3 affirmation program. The Sculptor 3 program flashes subliminal messages to your subconscious at a rate of more than 3,600 times per hour -even as you go about your normal work on your computer. You get to choose the subliminal messages, based on what you want to achieve. And it's so easy to use that if you can type an e-mail, you can use Sculptor 3.
I dare you to name the top 3 things *you* want in life and use Sculptor 3 just 10 minutes a day to make them happen for you. Go ahead and type the 3 things you want in the magic box provided Here and see what happens.
P.S. There's a lady by the name of Jaki who typed in the 3 things she wanted in the box. By the end of the day, she e-mailed me and said one of her wishes began to manifest in her life. She then immediately bought Sculptor 3 because she figured if her intent caused her desires to begin materializing, Sculptor 3 would most certainly multiply her results. She's right!

[Video] Periodic Depression Interferes with Life

I get depressed sporadically and it interferes with my life and I want to fix it. I’ve always had emotional problems my whole life. Anxiety, depression, difficulty coping with life, codependency, low self-esteem; and I have been trying SO HARD to “just be happy” like everyone tells me to do, but I just can’t do it. I TRY. And I don’t want to take meds, and I don’t know how much a therapist is but I don’t have a lot of money.
All this interferes with my enjoyment in life, I just cant seem to enjoy it and am constantly telling myself negative things and worrying about everything. I am also having relationship problems and I am just feeling so nuts all the time that I know I’m not in the right mind to try to fix that either.
HELP What do I do?? I know this isn’t a therapeutic thing, but I just need to know where to look for a therapist, or if there are any books or good self help things I can find on the internet (I’ve tried that though, I dunno maybe I have never found the right thing) please tell me.
A: Reaching out in this forum is a good first step for getting help. It sounds like you’ve been trying very hard to feel different than you feel and it’s not enough. It’s a good time to seek professional help. There are no-cost or low-cost therapy options available in many communities. [Video] I’m Not Depressed Or Anxious But I Prefer Being Alone By Julie Hanks, LCSW

I know there have been several questions on this site regarding preferences for solitude, but most of these questions have come from people with diagnosed disorders such as depression, social phobias, PTSD, etc., and the answers provided have been framed in the context of the relevant disorder. My concern is that, despite being depression and anxiety-free, I am becoming increasingly rigid in terms of my willingness to spend time with others, and it is affecting my relationships negatively. I’ve always been a bit of a loner and required a certain amount of time alone, but I’ve also always had plenty of friends and a pretty normal dating/relationship history. However, over the course of the past year or so I have started to really prioritize solitude over spending time with friends, family, and romantic partners to the point of avoidance. It’s not that I’ve become apathetic towards these people or that I’ve stopped liking them. In fact, I still have a strong desire for affection, friendship, and intimacy, but only in VERY limited quantities, and anything beyond that feels like an obligation. To give you an example of what I’m talking about, my girlfriend lives about 100 miles away, so spending a whole lot of time together during the week is not really feasible. Because of this she would really like to drive to my place after work on Friday, spend the weekend with me, and leave Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately I can’t even begin to fathom spending that much time with someone -even someone I love- and so I always have to come up with an excuse for why she would need to leave Saturday morning or afternoon. And to be honest, by Saturday I’m literally counting the minutes until she leaves so I can be alone. I don’t want to be this way. It’s not fair to the people in my life, and I feel like I shouldn’t be in a relationship, even though I am very much in love. Any insight into my problem would be greatly appreciated!
A: Thanks for your excellent question. I wish I had some additional information from you. I’m curious if any event or loss happened in the past year or so that might have precipitated this preference toward being alone? I’m also wondering what happens inside of your body when you are with someone for too long. What are the cues that you need alone time? Watch the video response below to hear additional suggestions…

Franklin’s 13 Virtues

From Benjamin Franklin's autobiography…

My intention being to acquire the habitude of all these virtues, I judged it would be well not to distract my attention by attempting the whole at once, but to fix it on one of them at a time; and, when I should be master of that, then to proceed to another, and so on, till I should have gone through the thirteen; and, as the previous acquisition of some might facilitate the acquisition of certain others, I arranged them with that view, as they stand [below].
  1. TEMPERANCE
Eat not to dullness; drink not to elevation.
  2. SILENCE
Speak not but what may benefit others or yourself; avoid
    trifling conversation.
  3. ORDER
Let all your things have their places; let each part of
    your business have its time.
  4. RESOLUTION
Resolve to perform what you ought; perform without
    fail what you resolve.
  5. FRUGALITY
    Make no expense but to do good to others or yourself;
    i.e., waste nothing.
  6. INDUSTRY
Lose no time; be always employed in something
useful; cut off all unnecessary actions.
  7. SINCERITY
Use no hurtful deceit; think innocently and justly; and,
    if you speak, speak accordingly.
  8. JUSTICE
Wrong none by doing injuries, or omitting the benefits
    that are your duty.
  9. MODERATION
Avoid extremes; forbear resenting injuries so much
    as you think they deserve.
  10. CLEANLINESS
Tolerate no uncleanliness in body, clothes, or habitation.
  11. TRANQUILITY
Be not disturbed at trifles, or at accidents common
    or unavoidable.
  12. CHASTITY
Rarely use venery but for health or offspring, never to
dullness, weakness, or the injury of your own or another's
    peace or reputation.
  13. HUMILITY
    Imitate Jesus and Socrates

Depression Test – Do I Have Depression?

It’s not the easiest thing in the world to diagnose, after all, we all feel down from time to time. Especially after we suffer a loss of some kind. So what makes the difference between having ‘the blues’ and having depression? In this article we’ll explore the line between these two mood states.
Although it can be difficult to differentiate, the one main difference between these two mood states is that depression lasts longer and can lead to a significant loss of interest in life activities that the person used to find interesting or enjoyable. Symptoms can also include (but are not limited to):
Excessive fatigue, sadness and crying for no reason, pain in the body, trouble sleeping, excessive negative thought patterns, a feeling of pessimism, avoidance of physical activity or exercise, overeating or under-eating and weight gain/loss, excessive anger, moodiness, frustration and sometimes thoughts of self harm or planning to self harm.
This article includes a short, simple depression test below:
Place a number 1-4 next to the questions 1 – 18. Here is the key:
1 = Not at all
2 = Some of the time
3 = Most of the time
4 = All of the time
  1. I do things more slowly than usual.
  2. My future seems completely hopeless.
  3. It is difficult for me to concentrate on reading or other activities.
  4. All of the pleasure and joy has disappeared from my life.
  5. I have great difficulty in making decisions.
  6. I’ve lost interest in activities/things that used to be important to me.
  7. I feel sad.
  8. I feel agitated and can’t sit still.
  9. I feel fatigued.
  10. I have to use much effort to even do simple things.
  11. I feel that I am a bad person and I deserve to be punished. I feel guilty.
  12. I feel as though I am a failure
  13. My vitality is gone.
  14. I have trouble sleeping.
  15. I think about how to kill myself.
  16. I feel as though I am trapped.
  17. Even when good things happen to me I feel depressed.
  18. I have lost or gained weight for no obvious reason.
Now add up the numbers. The higher the score the more likely it is that you may be suffering from depression.
Another depression test is that old faithful; you intuition or ‘gut feeling’. In other words if you really suspect that you might have depression and you have felt this way of some time then it is more possible.
Many doctors will tell you that depression is an illness that must be treated with medication, although there are a number of other viewpoints on this. Personally when I went through depression I was reluctant to take medication and sought out alternative, natural methods. These worked well for me and has worked for countless others also. Whether or not you try medication or more natural methods is of course completely your call.
Once you have completed a depression test and found that you might be suffering you may wish to speak to a therapist, psychologist or counselor for some further assistance and treatment options.
One fresh approach that has been getting great results is called the ‘mindfulness and acceptance approach.’ Having been through depression myself, I am a strong believer in this and have based my website and educational products on these techniques.
Whatever path you choose, it’s good to bear in mind that things are never hopeless. Thousands upon thousands have recovered from even deep depression and therein lies the proof that it is very possible to overcome.

Universal Life Secrets

Chris D'Cruz is a confident man. Why do I say that? Because on UniversalLifeSecrets.com he makes no qualms about offering you "god-like" powers which will enable you to create your own reality as you see fit.
I'm not kidding, that's almost word-for-word what he says on his site.
He promises to show you secrets that will give you greater personal power, power that will give you, amongst other things, the ability to influence ANYONE to do your bidding. He even mentions somewhere about the "Jedi Mind Trick", and for all you Star Wars fans out there, you'll know how impressive the "Jedi Mind Trick" can be.
The problem here is that the "Jedi Mind Trick" is supposed to be fictional, but Chris D'Cruz promises that you'll have that very ability once you learn the secrets he'll reveal to you.
Now, I don't know about you, but the thought of mastering such a powerful (albeit fictional) ability makes me wary of everything else he has to say. But as a self-help product reviewer I have to keep an open mind no matter what, and so I read everything else he had to say with regards to Universal Life Secrets.
Upon browsing the site you'll find that his promises does seem a little exaggerated, and you almost feel as though he's offering the entire universe for you to control. Who else in your entire life has made you the promise of "god-like" powers?
Yet, as you read on, you can't help but be intrigued by the man's confidence. You find his promises a little absurd in his exaggerations, but at the same time you wonder why he's willing to back his promises with a 60 Day Money Back Guarantee. If it's a scam why bother offering to give your money back?
That was the exact thought I had by the time I was done reading the entire site. I figured if it was all just an elaborate scam there wouldn't be any sort of guarantee, what more one that lasts up to 2 whole months.
So I ended up giving Universal Life Secrets a try.
I was quite surprised to discover that those exaggerated promises weren't so exaggerated after all. What Chris D'Cruz has managed to do is that he has come up with what may just be the most comprehensive set of documents with relation to acquiring great personal and sexual power.
These secrets are actually techniques on how a person can become greater than they already are by building on their personal strengths and achievements, and how one can become a commanding and authoritative figure that has the ability to influence practically anyone. It's a must-have for anyone who has had self-esteem issues, or simply looking to be more confident in both their personal and professional lives.
Other than empowering individuals, Universal Life Secrets also reveals knowledge on a more intimate subject: Sex. Chris teaches some of the best techniques you can apply before you get a woman to bed, and after you get her into bed. Basically he gives you the secrets to acquiring a confidence that will have you attracting any woman (or women) you fancy, and then impressing her (or them) with a sexual confidence and skills that even the original Don Juan may be envious of.
Personally I think Universal Life Secrets is a rare gem amongst all other self help products out there. Not only does it set itself apart from the others with its grand promises, but it also delivers every step of the way.
Definitely worth a try.
